A large steel manufacturing plant in the western United States was experiencing high temperature readings in their high pressure air compressor causing the equipment to run inefficiently. After an inspection was performed, water scale build up was deemed the issue! After weighing alternative options, RYDLYME descaler was decided as the best option.

A solution of 1,320 gallons of RYDLYME and water were circulated throughout the air compressor water passages via an Apex Engineering Products industrial descaling system 20PPO. After the circulation was complete, the plant saw a 50°F drop across the entire compressor! The plant is very pleased with the results and will be implementing RYDLYME cleanings throughout the remainder of the plant.
